Andr\u00e9 Rosinha (Sintra, 1987) is a jazz double bass player who has released five albums under his name.<\/p>\n

\u201cP\u00f3rtico<\/strong>\u201d is the title of his first album as band leader, on which he performs his own compositions alongside musicians Jo\u00e3o Barradas (accordion), Albert Cirera (saxophone), Eduardo Cardinho (vibraphone) and Bruno Pedroso (drums), having performed at venues such as Casa da M\u00fasica in Porto and the C\u00edrculo de Jazz in Set\u00fabal. On his second album, \u201c\u00c1rvore<\/strong>\u201d (2019), Andr\u00e9 Rosinha adopted the format that has accompanied him ever since: a trio with Jo\u00e3o Paulo Esteves da Silva on piano and Marcos Cavaleiro on drums, with whom he also released the albums \u201cTriskel<\/strong>\u201d (2022) and \u201cRaiz<\/strong>\u201d (2025), and in which we find a fusion of the worlds of jazz, traditional Portuguese music and improvisation. The Andr\u00e9 Rosinha Trio has performed at the Bel\u00e9m Cultural Centre, Jazz2020 organised by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Seixal Jazz, Jazz em Monserrate, JazzMATAzz, Gr\u00e2ndola Vila Jazz, and Festa do Avante!, amongst others.<\/p>\n

In 2021, he formed a co-led trio with Beatriz Nunes on vocals and pianist Paula Sousa, with whom he released the album \u201c\u00c0 Espera do Futuro<\/strong>\u201d and also \u201cA C\u00e9u Aberto<\/strong>\u201d in 2025, presented at the Serralves Autumn Festival (Porto), Jazz Tem Voz (Lisbon), the Tavira Jazz Cycle, Novom\u011bstsk\u00e1 Radnice in Prague (Czech Republic), the Opus Jazz Club in Budapest (Hungary) and the Nikolaisaal in Potsdam (Germany), amongst others.<\/p>\n

After more than 15 years exploring music and jazz, always accompanied by other musicians on stage and in the studio, Andr\u00e9 Rosinha released his first solo album, \u201cErmo<\/strong>\u201d, in 2026.<\/p>\n

Alongside his own projects, he has been a member of singer Salvador Sobral<\/strong>\u2019s band since 2015, with whom he has recorded six albums, and is also a member of pianist J\u00falio Resende<\/strong>\u2019s group, Jo\u00e3o Barradas Trio, Samuel Lercher Trio, Desid\u00e9rio L\u00e1zaro Trio<\/strong> and Marco Santos 6tet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
